Dicks T Bar opened this weekend
(opening night pictures), while
the Pub Doron, Scotts and the Rond Point,
all of which have been refurbished over the summer will
be opening around the 16th. The Plein Soleil in Mottaret
has already opened.
Val d'Isere
Dicks T bar in Val has already
opened and has made a few changes for the new season. As
reported on Natives previously, there will be a new
CyBar internet cafe to check Natives on. For connoisseurs
there's also a wine bar with 15-20 fine wines.
Of more interest to workers will be
Dicks at Six. This apres-ski slot is going to feature Kangaroo
Boxing, Sumon Wrestling, Horizontal Bungee and other lively
events for starting off your evening.
Chamonix
The Crochon has been converted
from a restaurant to a laid-back CyBar internet cafe
(see earlier reports)
and opened for business today.
After the success of its opening season,
the Terrasse has also made some changes for this
winter. There will still be the famous happy hour drinks
but the upstairs area has been converted to a restaurant
featuring international cuisine (and the chef from the Jeckyll).
Courchevel
After the closing of the Equipe,
it will be interesting to see how resort workers divide
up their time between Bar Le Jump, Le Kalico,
TJs, The Blue Room (formerly Isba) and Gringos.
The smart money says the Jump after
skiing, TJs/Blue Room/Gringos for a crawl, followed by a
drunken dance in the Kalico.
TJs/Blue/Gringos will be encouraging
everyone on the crawls this winter with their Fetish, Bond
and School Days theme
nights.
Both TJs and Gringos are already open,
the Jump opened on 2 Dec with Kalicos shortly after.
