This time last year, we asked 'Does
the Daily Mail Ski Show mark the start of the ski season?'
- 89% said yes...
Free and Cheap Tickets
The free
tickets available in our competition have now been won.
However you can still save yourself £1.50 by buying
your tickets in advance either by calling 0990 90 00
90 quoting Natives or by buying
online.
Big Air
This year the Show has made a big
effort to be more than a big ski shop with some bars. The
big news is the Big Air competition, featuring names like
Jamie Strachan, Elliot Neave, Steve Bailey and Matt Reardon.
The Preview Day competition was won by Swedish
rider Tommy Johansen ahead of Ryan Davies and Steve Bailey,
but looked gutted he didn't manage the 900 he was going
for. Frenchman Seb Lounis stole ahead of Christian Kaufman
and Shane Anderson with his trademark 'toxic grab'.
The Big Air slope uses 150 tons of
real snow, made by mixing water with air and chilling rapidly
with liquid nitrogen to form snowflakes. Wrap up warm if
you plan to watch - it's cold around the slope.
Meet us at the Show
Please come and meet us at the Show.
We will be at the Ski Insurance stand (no.750) at the following
times:
Monday 30 October: 3pm - 4pm
Thursday 2 November: 6pm - 7pm
Party Time
The Krazy Kangaruh is a massive
improvement on the bars in previous years. There's live
music, a dance floor and room for a lot of reunions (as
proved by the La Tania
crew).
And if you're a season worker,
make sure you get to the Natives/Fall
Line Workers' Party - sure to be the event of the show!
We hope to see you there...
