Repping again - extend your seasonal life with the Ski Club of Great Britain

Have you already done a season and/or consider yourself as an advanced intermediate skier? Well you could have the opportunity to become a ski rep for the Ski Club of Great Britain.

Did you know that as a Ski Club of Great Britain Rep you can:

- Take a few weeks each winter visiting different resorts
- Get to know loads of new people
- Show groups of skiers/boarders around the mountain
- Generally have a good time!

If this sounds tempting then you might want to consider volunteering to be a Ski Club of Great Britain Rep!

Every winter many experienced and ex-season workers become Reps for the Ski Club of Great Britain. If you are conscientious and sociable with good communication skills then why not join them?

What does a Ski Club rep do?
Ski Club reps are volunteers. As such you get your accommodation, lift pass, food and insurance plus a travel and resort allowance while you're repping. In return you are responsible for organising a 6-day ski programme each week plus a daily social hour, sending daily snow reports and completing weekly paperwork.

What about training?
All prospective reps have to take the Ski Club reps' course, which is run every year in Tignes. The Course is designed as an introduction to mountaincraft and ski leadership, it is run by qualified BASI trainers and IFMGA mountain guides and it is designed to give a thorough grounding in mountaincraft awareness and to ensure your skiing and leadership skills are of the highest standard.

The Reps' Course runs in early December, which incorporates our Performance (technique) Clinic in the first three days of the couse. The cost of the Reps' Course is approx. £1350, including all instructional fees, lift pass, half board accom, return coach transfers from airport, 2 days' first aid training and ski jacket.

Rep for a few weeks every winter!
The great thing about doing the Reps' Course is that you are investing in longer-term skiing opportunities as you can rep for the Club for a few weeks every winter. It's not just a one-off experience but a whole new lifestyle! So you can experience the flavour of a worker's lifestyle, without having to commit to a full season.

How do I apply?
You should be at least 22 and have skied for at least 15 weeks. You also need to be an advanced, confident skier with off-piste experience, able to ski any type of run competently and with style!
