US Ski Team’s versatile sweetheart and Vancouver Olympic double medalist, Julia Mancuso, has just announced her new contracts with three of the biggest names in alpine skiing. At the recent Vancouver Olympics, “Jules,” as she is known to insiders, brought home the “crown jewels” of the Vancouver Games, in the form of two Olympic medals, by carving up the icy race course on specially built and prepared Rossignol skis.

Notwithstanding, things will be quite different at the upcoming off season race camps, as Squaw Valley’s First Lady of Skiing will head to the summer camps using the highly acclaimed Völkl ski and Marker binding combination. Jules was recently quoted on her personal website, sharing, “I am so stoked to announce a few really positive things happening! I recently switched ski brands to Völkl! I have already skied on them a few days and they feel awesome!”

Much like Rossignol is a ski racing icon and the long standing pride of France; Völkl has also been a well known and dominating Austrian ski marque for decades. In recent years, both Völkl skis and Marker bindings have joined efforts to develop and market a highly effective ski and binding interface system. Development of this concept by both Völkl and Marker has led to the production of several ski and binding systems that are now available to the average recreational skier. A skier’s ability to change the under-boot flex, boot position, or stiffness of the ski, can assist the skier in adapting to changing snow or terrain conditions.
