Plans for a million-square-foot indoor ski resort in Bartow County, Georgia, USA are progressing and hinge on one last signature from the state's governor, Sonny Perdue. It is largely predicted that the governor will sign it on Friday, having rejected the bill twice before. If the plan does get the go-ahead, the indoor snowdome will be the biggest in the world, taking the title from Ski Dubai. The development, to be divided into Alpine and Village levels, would include five ski runs, the world's only indoor snow mobile track at a mile long, two NHL hockey rinks, a 2,000-seat outdoor waterfront amphitheater, three four-star hotels, a conference center, 30 restaurants, 400,000 square feet of retail space and multiple residential components. Not only is it expected that the development would bring 2.5 to 3 million visitors to the area, it's also hoped that 2000 jobs would be created.
