Squaw V alley in California has made a number of changes for the forthcoming 2010-2011 winter season in order to provide a more family-friendly atmosphere for kids.
Californian resort appeals to family market A number of changes will be made to ensure kids will enjoy a memorable experience on and off the slopes at the popular Olympic Valley resort.
On the mountain, the old Belmont terrain park will be transformed into a 'Kid's Funzone' offering a snow play fort and child-sized terrain features including bumps, jumps and whoopty-doos.
And staff at the resort have designed a brand new trail map designed specifically for children that will show the new play pak as well as other family friendly facilities available on site.
The map will also be educational, offering young visitors facts on local wildlife and a guide to life on the mountain.
At the base of the resort, the Squaw Kids Children's Centre has been redeveloped in time for the 2010-11 season, with improvements including an enlarged second floor, a larger lunchroom and an improved registration area.
