Hi

can anyone get hold of a pair of 154cm K2 MissDemeanor's? I have search high and low and cannot find any in the country!! I have looked at importing some for the states but i'm just a bit worried about getting stung with the VAT. Anyone got any ideas of where else to try in the UK?

Thanks in advance

Also seen them in Edge2Edge in Crawley. Am sure they had a range.

Hold on!

What weight is she?
Where does she like to ski?
What is her ability level?

Basing a ski length purely on height went out with straight skis.

Just if she's 160, and weighs 32kg, and is a beginner, then the 154 might even be too much for her.
If she's a good skier, comes in at 64kg (10 stone), and primarily skis Utah powder, then I'd consider the 164 or 169.

point well noted.

i was just looking at some company website and for me. at 90kgs and agressive i should be having:

piste skis - 180! (me 174)

freeride/GS - 190! ( I have 178 and find them too long, so a 172 ish for me)

big mountain - 185 - 2m! ( at a loss now)

and slalom 165! ( my pref 155!)

Was it a company that makes straight skis?

I'm 85kg.
I ski 170s on piste, and 179s off. My 170s are FAST. Any longer, and I'd have to go for a softer, slower ski, to be able to control it, and then I'd be working too hard.

was infact:

Snow and rock, hmm not sure its the greatest place for advice

check it out.

and i know what you mean about length, i have a pair of 178 dynastar speed 63s, they are awesome for speed but i just find myself being flung backwards the whole time whilst using them!

Yeah, I come out with the same figures as you.

I also dislike their skier rating chart - supposedly no one skis off-piste until they can race on ice!

Hey, I was going off-piste before I was skiing steep piste. I still dislike icy race pistes, but I spend a lot of time in the pow.

i love hard pistes, speed is one of my best friends, but also pow amazing.

was talking about why skiing is so good last night, and came up with the following reason:

there are so many different types, powder, jumping, speed.....

makes it great and with many other sports only on thing involved.
