It is, it is!

Why?

Coz I can see snow out my window! It snowed last night down quite low (around 1300 I think) and now the mountains are white! Yay!

Also, I went snowboarding yesterday in Tignes so in my mind winter is HERE!

(Lovin' the new snowboard too.)

All good! On the plane Saturday ... now just have to hope the bruising from my bike prang last week reduces ... particularly the bits on my leg that will be inside the bloody ski boot.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

New snowboard turns on a penny! Lovin' the double reverse camber thing.

Whooping cough seems to really come back to life at high altitude/with cold air and I had to have a little nanna nap on the picnic tables while my friend did her last run of the day.

These pictures brightened up my day.

That crevasse looks nasty though. I guess that's probably covered over by a bit of snow mid winter?

I'd have thought so, haven't actually skied there in winter proper though (other places are closer to me). There's a patch in the centre of the slope which is clearly quite heavily crevassed, which is just to the right of my photo (guessing the ice is stressed coming down off the ridge above), which you can sneak either side - dodging another crevassed section (to the right again) if you take the other side, but it gives a slightly longer descent. Lower down the whole slope is clear, and you can let rip...

Yesterday people were skiing on the actual crevassed sections, threading along the snowbridges... Mental!
