Since it's shaping up to be a lovely evening I will be picking up my roomie after work, driving out to the east of the island and picking up tasty fish and chips to eat on the harbour wall.

Break into the castle and eat at the top. Great view.

I'm going to go and grill some vegetables and cover them with lemon juice, and eat them in the garden with a glass of cider; followed by a spliff, some tasty chocolates, some mindless telly and an early night

I know, some mates got married up there last year.

Breaking and entering might be a bit excessive but you have given me an idea. Instead of heading down to the harbour I might drive up to the Castle Green. Probably less pesky seagulls up there too. Noice.

A quarter of a kilogram of melted cheese, with the usual trappings.

Peders,

I didn't know that you could eat mice, must be a bit tricky to fillet? Then again you're in France where anything is edible, the French would eat the crack of dawn if it had hairs on it.

A sandwich, different to last night's, I'll give details later.

Anyway, new menu item received rave reviews, sold out of batch prepped.

Free range chicken breast, fried skin-side down until crispy, then a big ladelful of chorizo, red onion, white beans, roast tomato, white wine, roast garlic, basil, parsley, chive (made earlier in the day). Placed in oven, skin-side up, until cooked through.

One-pan wonder, replacing the pork in tarragon sauce - which is nice, but requires five different moves to put together.

chocolate and pecan cookies dunked in coffee.

Tonight I'm cooking a curry for my mum and her boyfriend. It was going to be a rabbit curry but for once Super U didn't have any rabbit pieces, and I didn't like the idea of hacking a whole one into pieces.

Semolina and strawberry jam. Best before: Aug 2001 but the pack was unopened. I kid you not.

What do you actually do with semolina? I've inherited some (I think it's that stuff) but I really don't know what to do with it.

Meanwhile, I just had to buy a MAXI pain au chocolate instead of a regular as the bakery in Annecy had sold out of croissants and regular pains au chocolate due to the bloody tourists in Annecy for the Fete du Lac. Damn - extended yummy thing...what to do...
