Right, now to find something suitable to turn into a barbecue... (the spin cycle BBQ of last summer is, alas, no more...)

The last innovative BBQ I saw was an upside down shopping basket, I actually thought of you when I saw it. Maybe a shopping trolley would be more suited to your needs though...

For our outdoors adventures we have got an ace home made one, made out of an old calor gas bottle. My mate is a Farrier, so good with metal and welding etc. Its a brilliant little self containd unit.

Thanks Peds, that's brilliant. What's IPA?

Today I have eaten...

Breakfast....oats, flax seeds, organic raisins, soya yoghurt.

Lunch...apple, banana. Salad of celery, carrot, chickpeas, mushrooms, tomato, grapes. All organic.

2 cups of green tea, 2 bottles of water.

Dinner...brown spaghetti with a sauce of tomatoes, pepper, onion, garlic, ginger, cinnamon, toasted walnuts, parsley. Again, all organic where possible.

I did eat a thorntons that was in the staff room and some Jelly Belly Beans with my class...only 6 though.

Some good had better come of this....I miss coffee more than you know!

I am about to eat a "treffle"... it looks like three little choux pastry buns, baked close together in the oven so that they merge, and each tri-part of the finished mega-bun has been glazed with a different icing each. There is a dark brown, and light brown, and a turquoise, which I guess means chocolate, coffee, and God knows what. Pistachio?

Anyway, I'm about to grab a quick shower, then I'll eat it and report back to you guys. You might want to book a seat.

Oh, and I'll be drinking a big glass of milk with it. Stay tuned.

Ahh, forgot. This was still on the clipboard this matin.

---------

Oh, I should mention as well that the three colours of icing are kind of compartmentalised by a thin piping of buttercream.

Right, let's go. Naturally, I'll be starting with the coffee side.

Ooop, no I won't, I just gave it a tug and the chocolate side came away, so I'll nosh on that first.

Mmp, yep, that was filled with chocolate flavour patisserie cream. I'll attack the turquoise one now, which looks like it contains plain old vanilla/yolky patisserie cream. No complaints from me.

Mmm, yeah, that's damn good. Might have to save one last bite of that for until I'm part-way through the coffee one.

Oooohhh, God, yeah, the coffee one. My favourite by far. What a treat. Light, fluffy choux pastry, nothing too cloying (as some pastry can be), the chilled, almost jelly-like (but more yielding, flowing almost) creamy-coffee-flavoured set custard, and the intensely sweet coffee icing on top, taking three or four chews to make itself known and then coating the inside of your mouth for a few seconds after you've swallowed...

Rock on.

Right, last bite of the plain corner, then the final bite of the coffee side.

Thanks all, for listening. And now, I'm off out.

Oh man, that's serious food porn. Why have I never seen this particular treat so far? I desperately need to try one. If I come to Cham at some point over summer, will you show me where you found these treats?

Lunch today........

Asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto di Parma with a covering of large shavings of Parmigiano-Reggiano, accompanied by small salad of mixed baby leaves, the whole caboodle covered with a liberal amount of virgin olive oil.

Elanisers,

Fried or boiled?

I do hope that you are not eating them raw because that is just plain disgusting!

Bleughhh

Sorry Peds. I am a massive fan of your culinery skills and recipe posts, but you'd have to pay me a whole lot more than 9.90 to get me to eat ANY kind of polenta
