Ok we seem to knock back this seasons first time staff, Lets help in can't be fun trawling through pages and pages of threads to find info. I will start.

Don't hit the drink hard unless the next day is your day off when nobody sees you your guests will know if you have had a p1ss up and it only takes a few complaints and it's sleezy jet back to blighty.

more to follow but have a good season where ever your going and what ever your doing

sorry - i hate the way everyone rips up the newbies on this site. I was just being an idiot and didn't mean to do that!

My advice would be work hard and play hard. Don't blow all your money on top of the range equipment in your first season. Buy your own boots and borrow, rent, steal anything else unless you find a really good deal. (ok - don't steal). Get up early - the mountains are awesome first thing, and get used to power-kipping.

Work out how much hangover you can bear to work with, and try not to exceed it. But don't waste all your days off with hangovers - get some memorable skiing days in on your days off.

Enjoy!

When everything is going wrong, and the job is sh!t, just remember where you are.
You could be stuck in an office in the UK with everything going wrong and a sh!t job (ask Foxy! ).

have fun as much as possible and party solid for 5 months, cos it's f*cking dull when you get home
get on the slopes as much as possible, push yourself, don't break yourself in the first month tho
get your own equipment, and don't buy the cheapest sh*t you can find cos you'll need to upgrade it after a few weeks
EARPLUGS - roommates snoring may make you kill them in their sleep otherwise
take something to do on whiteout days eg books, drawing stuff, laptop, dvd player, ps2, whatever, cos it's f*cking dull and frustrating when you're stuck inside for a few days
take medication, vitamins, condoms, all that sorta stuff. Best still try and get your hands on some all purpose antibiotics like amoxycillin, cos you're bound to get rundown and then ill at some point, and it costs a fortune out there.

some time in march you will feel like a big bag of w&nk and might want to come home, but knuckle through it, as there are good times yet to come.
