Hello
Not everyone is small and in recent days I have felt like a giant amongst women!

I am size 14 UK in a jacket. I get very cold at times skiing & wear lots of layers so I need a size 16 jacket. I am well paid. I want to spend some money on it.... I like well made ski clothes. I am not able to buy a ski jacket that fits in Scotland it seems. Lots of walking jackets, men's jackets but not a woman's one. North Face had a beautiful one as did Saloman- too neat in their largest sizes with all those layers.

Where can I get well made clothes for someone who is slightly under the average UK woman's size but apparently not in ski clothes?

I've got a large womens marmot shell jacket which is quite large, plenty big enough for a couple of layers and a soft shell underneath. Bigger than a size 16 eider jacket which is rather snug. But I think that is down to the marmot one having some special shoulder thing which supposedly makes flapping my arms around easier.
