don't suppose anyone fancies a few days in the alps first weekend in march?

i have a potential 5 days off (3rd - 7th) and desperate to get down there and see my boyfriend but the cost of getting from jersey - gatwick - turin - serre che and back, combined with crappy flight times is making it almost impossible.

would drive myself but don't think car would make it

i can get to london/pretty much anywhere on the south coast and am willing to share fuel/ferry/tunnel costs, and maybe some driving (entirely at your own risk may i add)

i know this is a BIG long shot but hoping that someone somewhere fancies a trip????

yours hopefully

bex

If it was me, I'd just drive (and pray it makes it)

....or just train it the whole way. Overnight Eurostar is quite comfy and pulls in not too far away-ish (Moutiers or Bourg...I'm guessing Moutiers is closer...?).

don't need the tunnel to train it, i can hop on the ferry over to st. malo from here and hopefully make my way from there?!

may have enlist french ITbod from work though as it's proving not so easy as i thought to get details of train times/routes/changes given that my knowledge of the language extends as far as 'deux chocolat chaud avec cointreu sil vous plait'

Noiiice drink - my fave (unless the hot chocky comes out of crappy machine in which case the owner should die, die, DIE).

French timetables are no fun. We had to study one in the French classes I took in Annecy and most people just seemed more confused afterwards.

Good luck finding people to come out here with. If you're stuck, there's always people looking for travel partners on www.thegumtree.com (and also possibly www.tnt-magazine.co.uk or .com can't remember), if you're willing to go with antipodeans.
