could anyone help with some information im looking to drive to the alps this winter, considering chamonix im a novice snowboarder but busting to get away would chamonix be a good idea

Chamonix - wicked place, but not great for beginners.

You planing the whole season there??

not a season,jan+feb are quiet months for me(landscaper)so could be a week maybe four.just know ive got to do it.any im open to suggestions on resorts

if have car and guts then you will be fine!! Its quite spread out and known for being challenging skiing, but good to live in.
Les Deux Alpes is known for its boarding, but any resort would be good pretty much. Chamonix good for accomodation tho - not MASSIVLY expensive by comparison to lots of the others......
