5 layers under your jacket and you were still cold??!!. How cold was it??!.

I've been in sub -30 temps and never struggled, on a really cold day I just wear a Helly Hansen Lifa top, a thin north face fleece top and my thick jacket....job done.

Oh,...and a beanie under my helmet!!.

T

I should have put 'good quality thick jacket'......for example, not a jacket made by vans.

New skis are fun, but I hate the fact that I get cagy about damaging them. Having to blunt the edges when I get them kind of defeats the point of them being new

Actually I was pointing it out because I've just been told quite clearly that lightweights are better.
I don't like being told I'm wrong buying certain stuff - if it was that bad they wouldn't make it! And its up to me what i want to spend (or waste) my money on. meh!

Of course they would, if they can sell it they'll make it, they don't give a sh*t if its actually any good or not, they care about getting a sale. And yes, it is up to you what to spend your money on but you've only been offered advice so clearly its your decision as to whether or not you take it.

If you don't please don't start a 'Oh my god I'm skint again because I got a crap jacket' thread

I disagree:
Chalet wine - does the job
Macdonalds - cheap fix when you crave unhealthiness (they just shouldn't try and pass any of it off as healthy)

But they both do what they're supposed to, which is my point.
If chalet wine was like water, they wouldn't make it.

So long as you are saying that the sole puposes of Mcdonalds are to clog your arteries, taste shite, make you feel sick and waste your money then I am not going to disagree with you about it doing what it is supposed to...

Was that aimed at me or dino? I wasn't presuming anything, just taking any opportunity I get to have a pop at McDonalds.

I thought most people would have figured it out from me mentioning having just finished school, and going to Uni after my season.....

McDonalds are brilliant for pissing off people with taste buds.

McOriental sucks. Tartiflette Burger is amazing.
