Have just stumbled upon Armada ARGs... hahaha! man. crazy. harking back to the spatula there, the old inverse sidecut thing.

Nah, not scratches. they are the badass, powder charging ski of the Bandit line, they replaced the B4s,

and about as bendy as you average... really... unbendy thing

Are the bindings really far back on them? Or is it just my eyes from staring at one spreadsheet for most of the day to try and find EUR30,000 that wasn't on it because some people are retarded?

Well, I hadn't noticed it, but they're not really made for anything other than gunning powder so having your bindings further forward wouldn't help much. Also they have a very flat tail, so compared to skis with a semi twin, or twin, more ski at the back is in contact with the snow.

It's all about next year's Liberty skis - the Laroses or Hazmats looking particularly nice.

All the 2008 skis are freestyle orientated; was it the one with the stars that was the funny race ski?

the Laroses are an extension of last year's Pro model which only came in one size; they've got a bamboo core and sidewalls which I think is pretty interesting.

Hazmats are the all-mountain ski that takes over from the SB last year; not sure if I prefer the SB or Hazmat graphics but both pretty cool.

Jynx is the birds ski; not a bird so not overly interested; then there's the powder ski which takes over from the C Note; nice and wide but not one if these inverse camber funny skis like the ARG.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new skis go down when they are released.

I cant remember name or graphics Im afraid... all I remember is they were pretty stiff.

There's a ski with helicopter tops, red and green coloured... a friend won a pair of them in this year's Peisey Squirrel Race. What are they?

That'd be the choppers; 170cm stiffest ski in the history of time. I've got a pair sitting next to me right now actually.

The new range has changed a lot since those skis were around.

In the US most new stuff is released between August and September. Generally I've seen new stuff hit the UK between September and October depending on the brand.

I'd urge you to stay away from Vans as they're quality is crap (funny enough so is DC), and Special Blend has poor specs for the money and is basically the same as most low-end Burton stuff. Just my $.02.

Classic.

I'm pretty sure there is no manufacturer which doesn't showcase new designs in some way. Where do you find your anti fashion skis?

As for skis being disposable, some cheap twintips pretty much are (invaders, silencers), but that's not fashion driven, it's because people want light, cheap skis.
