Myself and a friend are looking to find work in the Alps for winter 14/15 and want ensure that we get placed in the same resort, ideally in the same job with similar hours. Does any one have any advice on which is the best way to go about this? We think we'd prefer Repping to working as Chalet staff, but we'd also consider bar or catering work and are currently considering training as a ski technician before we go out there. Neither of us have woked a season before so any advice you could send our way would be greatly appreciated. many thanks!

I'd expect it would be easiest to get a resort together if you both applied as a 'couple' to run a chalet together (doesn't necessarily mean you have to be in a relationship!). It's less common to apply as a 'couple' for repping, and you don't usually have much of a say in where you're placed in your first season with a company so you'd probably be seperated. To increase your chances, maybe apply to smaller companies that operate in a small number of resorts

This link had a pretty comprehensive list of employers. Some companies are more likely to let you apply as a 'couple' than others. Wouldn't hurt to drop an email to a few of them to ask. Good luck

Quite a few companies also have a space on their application forms for "Are you applying with a friend?" where you can put the friends' name as well.
