Is that it? No 'smellybumpoohead' derivative? I really am bottom of the food chain on here after that stone dildo thread aren't I?

Sorry snotface...
"I am a very good skier...in my mind. However, video evidence suggests that I'm rubbish. I look like a bus driver in a primary-coloured anorak, sitting on an imaginary lavatory. Also I can only turn right. So to mask my embarrassment, and the pain in my thighs, I ski only when very drunk. I can recommend this wholeheartedly." Jeremy Clarkson

TM: When I first moved to London 5 years ago (yes I know I should know if I like it here or not by now) one of my first friends asked in all seriousness if we got EastEnders in N. Ireland. My response was that as electricity only arrived a few years ago we were a bit behind in Albert Square. She believed me for a while too, bless. She is from Chatham.

Agreed. Personally prefer to limit time spent amongst The Great Unwashed plebians...

Where in London are you? Also rather like it. Although have only been here 3 months and is rather big and daunting. And miss doggies and easy access to countryside etc...

I'm slap bang in central London. So central it hurts!! And I miss my doggie (ok, she died 3 weeks ago!) and the emerald isle that spawned me. But London does have its' upsides...I can buy coffee at the cinema, go to any one of several awesome markets, and there's a fab pub on the river near Blackfriars (the name of which I forget)...

So much fun to be had with these insular people! A few decades ago my aunt had a German pen pal come over to visit and his parents sent him with his own knife and fork incase her parents didn't have cutlery!

OHHHH!!! That's hilarious!!

I am going to Boston for Thanksgiving, should be interesting going out drinking when my only acceptable ID is my passport.

Thanks

Hmm. I'm not sure. In my defence, I was hideously drunk. I went with people from work, I'll figure it out!!!

Speaking of the emerald isle, I was in France a couple of weeks ago, and I swear the Auvergne is more more green.

You know, that does sound familiar! There was decking involved, and it was near the Tate.

How do you know random pubs in London being from 'up north?!

Yeah, as jobs go, that one's pretty sweet!!

Unless you happen to be the poor sod dealing with my team off 12 very drunk ladies after a chaotic week.

We're not drunk gobby yuppies!

Well, drunk perhaps, and gobby, well half of us are lawyers so maybe.

Might be quite funny to get thrown into the Thames...or at least watch someone get thrown into the Thames!

Cheers, he'd be glad to hear that. Yeh it's a nice place, quite down to earth pubby inside and decent beer as you say. I'm not 100% on the set up there are probably other managers too and technically his missus is the licensee I think. Guy I know is built like a rugby player and often trying to throw drunk, gobby, yuppies into the river (northerner at heart still!).

Will bear that in mind next time I'm drunk there - not that I get gobby and I'm certainly no yuppy!

No he's a good laugh, and I don't think he's actually thrown anyone in yet but he has spoken about a twisted desire to do so a couple of times. ;)

Is that like the same twisted part of your brain that says 'yes, I can put my foot under that bus and it won't really hurt cos the bus is moving'...

Or am I a freak?

Alright, I'd like to say that all eople with 3 letter forum names beginning with M, who've been heli skiing in NZ are twats with the social skills of a dead horse and should probably be banned from the internet in general, as well as sharp objects.
