Izzlers,

Thanks; I shall peruse it purely as a point of research.

As much as I hate to help you Boggies, theres a great program that comes with creative hardware called "creative audio stream recorder" you can set the date/times you would like it to record/finish...All you have to do is copy and paste the url for the audio stream.

I've got something called freecorder that records anything going to your audio out, so you can record streams no worries.

I hate to quote myself, but since I'm the most quotable person here, earlier in the thread I said...

How about taking the audio out from one PC, plugging it into the audio in in another, and using Microsoft Sound Recorder?

"Aha," I hear you cry, "that won't work, because Sound Recorder only records 60 second clips."

...that's where you're not quite right.
"Record" a blank clip - say 10 seconds long. Save it as, say Blank.wav
Then go into it and go to Effects, and Decrease Speed. Do this a few times, until you get to 2000 seconds (my guess is about 8 times). Then save it. You can then open this Blank.wav in sound recorder, and record over it.
Also, within sound recorder is the ability to save as MP3.

Now, possibly someone with a bit more time could tell you how to change the settings on your computer so you connected the audio out to the audio in on the same computer and did it.

Or you could just download freecorder, or whatever Izzle uses, it would be far simpler and only involve 1 PC.

The software will work with any soundcard. All you have to do is download the creative software bundle(dont install drivers). I also believe that RealPlayer has the same kind of stream recording function however I havn't used it in awhile.

Errrr, creative aren't even close to the being the best sound cards in the world. Maybe for a pedestrian home computer spitting out DVD audio... but for any serious audio user it's junk.

I guess it all depends on what you use it for. For gaming the best soundcard in the world is the Audigy range.
