So in Europe, there are many snow villages and the UK based comapnies cater to the English speaking guests and the French based companies cater to the French speaking guests? etc etc ...

Yeh I don't speak French. Geez, its pretty risky isn't it? But the rewards if I pulled it off would be farking awesome.

These are obviously generalizations, but as such are on the whole true...

In the past Aussies have managed to infiltrate most parts of uk and scandie companies in Val D where I have been working. Dont know much about other resorts. Those in ski tech jobs though generall have alot of experience in the area. Those in the bar trade are generally hardened alcoholics. A few have worked for the UK TOs too, one who said he was definitely going back. Anyway, it isn't impossible. A few work as drivers too.

If you fancy taking the risk try turning up and see what you can work out for yourself, if it doesn't work then you can carry on travelling round Europe.

You appear to be confused. We won the Ashes, not you guys...

However, if you are apparently good-looking and also Australian, I'm sure there'd be space somewhere in Tignes.

But back to the original point, there are definitely ways around the NINO thing. My (English) mate just came back from Chamonix and he was paid cash in hand so this is an option - he says he met loads of Aussies all doing a similar thing. In fact he met his girlfriend out there and she's Australian! He turned up at the start of the season and managed to find a job so it does happen. He'd already sorted out his accommodation and liftpass though so I guess it depends whether you have such monetary resources at your disposal. His might have been of the rich parents kind though...

Also I can only turn right. So to mask my embarrassment, and the pain in my thighs, I ski only when very drunk. I can recommend this wholeheartedly." Jeremy Clarkson

Alright, I'd like to say that all eople with 3 letter forum names beginning with M, who've been heli skiing in NZ are twats with the social skills of a dead horse and should probably be banned from the internet in general, as well as sharp objects.

Ah well, at least possibly more deserving than the last one's mistress' filipino nanny..

Anyway, Fletcher's from Zimbabwe. My point was, we are fcuking great, of all people why would we need an Australian to help us? Although obviously for some reason, Zimbabweans (sp? Rhodesians?) are ok....

But as you know, I have absolutely no problem with Australians. I think they are great people. Especially when they speak...

Our specialist bowling coach is an aussie...

We won because our bowling attack is now probably the best in the world...

Yes you make a very good point. It was a silly throw-away comment. And yes I know Geriant trained in Aus and all that too. We have a lot to thanks the Australians for. Will bear your pedantry in mind next time before I say anything else...

I get so bored of having to put a disclaimer on everything I write...

And yeah no comment about all this groaning/speaking thing.

PS Sorry gadgey - sounds harsher than I meant. English cricket has Aussies all over it, of this I am well aware. Just want to say this before anyone accuses me of knowing nothing because I'm a girl...I get really sick of that. ops:
