#1  Hintertux Austria Advice Needed  10 Jan '15 at 12:44
Hi All,

I am thinking of doing a BASI course in Hintertux starting April 13th but dont know the area or Austria very well.
Would anyone have any information on
1. Low cost accommodation providers in the area
2. The airport options to fly into Hintertux
3. A good transfer company who might take a single traveler that I can contact for a quote

Cheers
Kind Regards

Easiest airport to fly to is Innsbruck. The only problem is whether or not flights from the UK are still going at that time of year. You'll be able to get there from Gatwick, but I think Manchester, Bristol, Liverpool might have stopped. Salzburg normally goes quiet at the same time, so you'll be flying to Munich.

For transfers I always go by train to Mayrhofen. It's really, really easy from Innsbruck, pretty easy from Munich too, but a bit longer. From Mayrhofen there are buses up to Hintertux. In season these are free and called The Green Line, they go from the station and the main street but I don't know if they'll still be going in mid April. If not then Four Seasons travel can pick you up from the airport, that's the company that most people use.

As for accom, look here... http://www.mayrhofen.at/en/find-accommodation/
