My mates and I are heading out to Serre Chevalier on 1st Jan for a week. Just looking into flights and it looks like it would be best to fly to Grenoble. Does anyone know how we can book transfers from there to the resort? Also, which other airports might be good to consider flying to... Thanks!

Suzie,
Check out Jet2.com - they do Geneva & Chambery from Leeds/Bradford.

You should be able to get a bus up from Grenoble itself. Grenoble airport is pretty badly connected although this may improve now that there are more flights going there.

Also worth investigating Turin. It's probably a shorter drive, although I don't know about the availability of public transport.

I doubt ATS will be cheap for either airport although if there's a goup of you they might not be too bad.

One final thought (if you have an idle moment). I believe it's quite straightforward to get the train up from Marseille (of all places) to Briancon. Maybe one to consider if the others don't work out.

ryanair go stansted to turin, so can get cheap flights there

I've done the briancon - turin and back via public transport (bus train train bus one way when i went) and it isn't great fun, so if you can organise transport or even hire a car it might be easier.

the drive from turin is less likely than from grenoble to be blocked/dangerous in the hopeful event of a dump
