#1  Finding work without a national insurance number  31 Aug '14 at 21:01
We are a couple looking for work as a chalet couple. My partner is a qualified chef and I am experienced in the hospitality trade, so I thought it wouldn't be too difficult for us to find a position. However, my partner is Spanish and we are finding that almost all companies require a British NI number, which he doesn't have. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we might get around this?
Thanks
Rosie

As your boyfriend is an EU national, it should be relatively easy to obtain an N.I. number. You would of course need to be in the UK to apply. If applying for work with a UK tour operator you will also need a UK bank A/c and UK address as well as N.I. numbers. Good luck
