One of the group that I used to ski with has Indian parents, and we always used to joke that when we all had the cash, we'd open the Banff Balti House, as you couldn't get a curry in Banff at all.

They were probably just as surprised to learn that you had television in the UK, electricity, CD's and could speak really good English.

Finding good curry in the US is about as easy as finding good Mexican food in the UK. It's a joke. At least everybody is happy to stick with what they know.

As has been said, it's nowhere[/b:028bc2d768] near as common as over here. When I moved here, I couldn't comprehend what all the curry talk was about.

I'm guessing here, but if you're asking cause you're going, just enjoy the staples; burgers, mexican, and proper fast food in general. If you're going west coast, hit up In-N-Out or Carl's Jr and you'll soon forget curry.
