Hey, my name is simon, im currently finishing my a-levels and am wanting to take a year out. i was hoping to be a ski rep or something along them lines for winter next year. ill be 20 next new years if that opens up many more jobs. can someone advise me on what i can do and, how i go about doing it.

My advice - get as much customer service related work in and skiing, then contact as many companies as possible and get your application in. Some companies prefer older reps as they have had life experience, but if you are keen and willing and have some experience you should be able to get a job, even if it isn't as a rep. Good luck!

Most companies won't employ you as a rep until you are 21. The one exception seems to be those doing leisure/tourism degrees who sometimes get employed in their placement year.

If you want to work in resort apply for a job as a chalet host, as these jobs do not have many age restrictions
If you don't like the heat stay up a mountain
