#1  And what if I dont live in England?  30 Aug '05 at 10:26
Hi everyone. I'm new here, and im looking for some advice for a ski job.
Im 26 and am graduating from uni. I'd like to work anywhere really, doesn't really matter what, as long as i can ski a lot! Oh, and I live in Israel.... Has anyone ever had experience with this sort of problem, getting a ski job from abroad? Oh, and isn't 26 a bit old for these companies? I see many of you are under 20...
Any other advice would be very useful. Thanx!

EC passport is not a problem, the question is whether or not it is possible to get a job without being in England, maybe with a telephone interview or some thing of the sort...

In the grand scheme of things they would ALL want to interview you in person, but is worth ringing and asking. Some might relax that rule.. or might not. Also, as the time gets nearer some companies get more desperate for staff so might not be bothered about not seeing you if they like your phone interview etc......

(Not saying they would be desperate if they took you - just NEED staff!!!)

Thanx everyone for the help...
Do they only have one interview? I was thinking of coming over for a week or so and lining up a few interviews, so the question is whether they like me would they want me back for a second one...

Try explaining your situation to them when arranging (first?) interviews - that any second interview would have to be when you are in the UK.

unlikly to want two interviews, so if you can come over then would just get them all in a few days. Would get in there pretty quick tho - sometimes they have allotted days for interviews, so the more time you ahve to plan, the better.

Good luck!!!

Shalom, Noam,
Your best bet is to contact the companies, and apply!
By showing enthusiasm, and that you're prepared to come over to England if the interviews are well organised, then they are more likely to be interested in you.
I post, therefore I am
