More exciting news from my Perisher diary and I'm pleased to tell you all WE GOT SNOW!!!!!! Not a lot but some and we all went out with Probes and powder traces (just in case I disapeared down a freshly covered billabong) and enjoyed it today !!!!! I'd say we got around 4-7 inches, at a guess but where the snow had blown some of the guys were claiming above the knee - heli type skiing.....Yeah I can hear you all laughing now but that's just what they told me..... Fine weather is the forecast for the next few days so we should have a few days good skiing ahead. I did hear that Mt Buller had laid off their entire ski school, not sure if this is gospel but things have really sucked down there and Perisher is offering the best skiing in Oz at the moment not to mention the only halfpipe !!! This weekend brings the wild winter weekend with the Jump for Cash and the start of many of the big events here such as "shred for bread" and the world famous "Dash for Cash" ( Good luck to the Smiggs Pigs competing !!! ). Once again it's Wednesday/Payday with Live tunes at the LJ and Banjos pumping out the usual tunes and despite my dismal pay packet I'm determined to enjoy a few schooners with the rest of the gang tonight out celebrating a birthday. Anyway hope you're all enjoying that English weather it's pasta time AGAIN !!!! |
