NEW SNOW IN CARDRONA

Great winter snow conditions continue. Cold temperatures are maintaining dry packed natural snow on groomed trails.

Good skiing and riding with large areas of the off piste also open and spreading people out even further.

Yet another 'skiff' of snow this morning just helps to keep the snow surface really good and grippy. Lower on the double chair some areas of hard packed scattered around and off piste it's still early season so watch out for unmarked hazards.

Little has changed from last week except for the holidays are over and lift queues are no longer.

Volkl Vertical Hoon!

Coming up this Sunday is the Volkl Vertical hoon. An off piste downhill running from the summit, through Arcadia, back to the bottom of the double and then down to the road. And in addition to being a leg burner, it's also a mass start which will make the results simple. Event number 2 for the Free Skiing tour and the first of the big mountain challenges.
