NZ UPDATE - ADAM JOHNSTON |
17 July 2001 |
|
After a promising start that produced a shallow but solid 60-70cm base, the sun came out and then stayed! Luckily cold weather over the last 3 weeks has prevented any deterioration, but with rocks only barely covered and school holidays bringing in numbers, the rock to edge ratio has swung toward the rock! But just as things were getting bad the holidays have finished, and the snow has started falling; 20cms or so today (17th July). As they say down here, "IT'S ALL GOOD" Quick footnote- Anyone interested in working a season down here, It's cheap, the riding's great, the Country is beautiful and pretty untouched and people are friendly as hell.Although you might have to sacrifice the Summer for your passion!
