COLIN SLATER'S NZ UPDATE

16 May 2000

Well for those of us nicely holed up in Wellington it's been a mix of chilly as weather punctuated with rain
!

This has manifested itself in the South as one of those gnarly Southerlies which has brought cold weather and more snow!

Mt Hutt
has had random showers and very cold winds (0 to -5) allowing the snowmaking to chug on as well as getting topped up with some new snow, how much??? About 10cm max so far.

Weather forecast is for a SW flow for the next 4 days with more snow. Awesome!

Coronet and The Regrettables have had similar weather but with a little less snow. They're snowmaking too.

North Island fields are hanging out for snow and the forecast is for them to get it down this week too!

So, barring some freak outburst of summer we're on track for a bumper year and openings in approximately 18 days, not that I'm counting!
