Liam Malcolmson, head chef at the acclaimed best chalet in France, teaches this 5-day residential ski chalet cooks course at Seasoned Cookery School in the Midlands. This purpose built cookery school is set in the grounds of the beautiful, privately owned Catton Hall estate and is the perfect setting to learn the necessary skills to equip you for your ski season.

The course will provide you with:


  • Ski chalet menu plans, including options for vegetarians, children and specific dietary requirements. You will receive a bank of recipes to make sure you are covered for every eventuality.

  • Fundamental cookery experience, learning how to prepare and cook breakfast, afternoon teas and a three course evening meal. As well as presentation and time saving tips.

  • The knowledge of how to cook at altitude as well as organisational skills such as creating time plans.

  • Quick and impressive canapés as well as easy afternoon teas so that you can enjoy maximum time on the slopes! 

  • Help with CV writing and interview training. We have links with several excellent ski companies who we will send you CV to.

  • Chalet host training and a guide on change over day duties and a day-to-day job checklist.

  • What it is like to live in a ski resort & safety information.

  • Simple guide of how to shop for ingredients in local supermarkets (French only)

  • The course is ideal for anyone who is embarking on his or her first ski chalet season.

    Job prospects if you attend this course you are guaranteed an interview with two of the major ski companies Alpine Elements & Season Workers, as well as having your CV sent to several other well-established ski companies.
