The Winter Sports Company in conjunction with Panorama Resort, British Columbia, Canada, announce their new and ULTIMATE snow sports industry training course.



This NEW AND ULTIMATE programme combines ski and snowboard instructor training with an intensive course which qualifies you to work as a PROFESSIONAL SKI PATROLLER.

In a mountain environment SKI PATROL are responsible for the public’s safety and are the first response team in cases of accident and emergency.

If you have ever dreamed of being part of an emergency service and have a passion for the mountains and skiing or snowboarding, this is the course for you.

The 16 week programme at Panorama Resort team includes intensive instruction to develop and refine your ski and snowboard technique. Level 1 instructor certification takes place within 3 weeks of your arrival in resort and level 2 training continues weekly throughout the season. SKI PATROL training takes place over 7 weeks and includes a series of modules designed for you to acquire all the necessary effective skills to manage incidents in an alpine environment.



SKI PATROL course modules include training in emergency response (first aid), aerial lift evacuation, rope rescue, avalanche awareness, helicopter orientation, air evacuation, risk management, incident investigation, GPS and compass orientation as well as ski patrol skills such as toboggan pulling.

This course will provide you with the most comprehensive range of qualifications you will ever need to find work in a ski resort, whether in Canada, New Zealand, Europe or Japan. And the Winter Sports Company will support and guide you in finding your first job.

If you prefer a shorter course or just want to become and ski or snowboard instructor, the Winter Sports Company offer professional training programmes from 3 to 19 weeks long in Canada, New Zealand and Italy.

Ski and snowboard instructor internships are also available at Panorama Resort. Interns are guaranteed regular, paid employment so you can earn whilst you learn. Places are limited so apply early.
