If you are graduating this year you may well have had enough of crashing at your parents place by September when even the lure of a fridge full of M&S food may start to fade.

The five day residential course held in the extensive kitchens at the Seasoned Cookery School in Catton Park Estate, Derbyshire is geared towards those who already cook regularly and with confidence.

Gone are the days when the only qualification necessary for being a chalet chef was to have the good fortune to have been named Arabella, Pandora or Lucinda. These days, securing a role a chalet chef is a highly competitive business, and candidates need to have the skills to match. Consensio has created this course as a means of equipping candidates with the skills necessary to find a role as a chalet chef.

Every aspect of the course will be taught by Liam Malcolmson who is head chef at Marco Polo in Val d’Isere which was recently voted ,”Best Ski Chalet in France” for the second year running. By the end of the five day course, candidates will have a full understanding of the role of a chalet chef and will be able to create their own personal menu plan as well as having a portfolio of images to support their job applications. Candidates will be both fully equipped for, and confident in applying for roles with high level ski chalet operators.

On the final day of the course, candidates will have the opportunity to register with Silver Swan Recruitment, a dedicated ski industry recruitment specialist who will work with them to help them find their perfect position for next season.
