CLIFFHANGER 2008 - Where will it snow this summer?

Prepare yourselves for unseasonable weather as 30 tonnes of snow is set to fall in the middle of July at Cliffhanger!

SNO!zone, the indoor real snowsports centre at  Xscape Castleford, is turning part of Millhouses Park into a winter wonderland by building a real snow slope with freestyle rail lines. Top professional snowboarders and skiers will be performing gravity defying tricks at the event, which also includes a live DJ set, family entertainment and the chance to win lots of prizes.

Scaffolding challengesIn addition, Cliffhanger will play host to the British Bouldering Championships (the UK’s finest rock climbers battling it out on a purpose built mega-wall), an orient-style UltraSprint orienteering competition and open event, mountain bike trials displays by Ben Slinger, scuba diving instruction, an on-site North-Shore mountain bike course, an open skateboarding contest, come-and-try-it climbing walls and assault courses, angling coaching, a heap of demonstrations, and loads of outdoor bargains.
