THE BRITISH FREESKI CAMPS 2004

British Freeski CampsThe third British Freeskiing Camps in association with Freeski Britain will be held this summer in Saas Fee, Switzerland.

Tanner HallThe camps, running from the 10-17, 17-24 and 24-31 July, will be focused on bringing the British freeskiing community closer together and building a basis for training riders to become top level Big Mountain and New School competitors.

The camp will be run in association with the Warren Smith Ski Academy and Freeski Britain (responsible for the representation of British freeskiers) and feature an all-star line up of coaches and technical staff including:

Who is it for?

 Professional Skiers
 Aspiring pro's, skiers wishing to get into freeskiing and new school
 Ex-alpine racers looking for another angle on competing
 Journalists looking to find out more on freeskiing
 Recreational skiers who would love to hit the terrain parks but don't know how
 Recreation skiers who wish to become stronger all round freeskiers.

Coaching

 Skiing each day will start approx 8.30am and finish at 1.30pm
 Coaching will cater for Big Mountain Freeride, Half Pipe, Slope Style (terrain park), Skier X and Moguls. Also personal performance for each individual skier working on there own skiing technique.
 Trampoline training afternoons every other day
 Off Piste and Avalanche training/awareness sessions with Nick Parks, leading British UIAGM guide and safety officer for the Verbier Ride
 Video analysis of days activities at hotel video room

 Downhill Mountain Bike training with Rocky Mountain
 Ski Biomechanics workshops with Hamish Wolfenden from Comform'able
 Advice forums on 'Getting Sponsored' for up and coming rippers

 Chance to star in 'Snows In The House 3' - Latest British Freeride movie being released October 2004
 Chance to feature in all the major British ski magazines in Autumn 2004
 Other activities - Golf, basketball, volleyball, swimming, archery, football, tennis (basically anything and everything!)

PopcornAccommodation
Accommodation is 1/2 Board with breakfast/evening meal at the UniqueHotel Dom, based in the centre of town. Accommodation is with TV and en suite facilities. You will also have the use of the Hotel's Internet facilities, TV Room, Pool room, Bar and Restaurant.

The hotel also has the town's most kicking bar, Popcorn on site.

Travel
Book one of www.swiss.com, www.easyjet.com, www.britishairways.com to Geneva. Once you get to Geneva airport there will be coaches organised to pick you up and drive you direct to Saas Fee.

Insurance
Please make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance that covers winter sports.

Price
£499 per week

Includes: Coaching fees, 1/2 Board Accom, 6 Day Lift Pass, all extra lectures
Does not include: Travel, Transfer to resort, Insurance, Equipment Hire
